Did someone say pre-order? The latest Jacquemus Resort 2021 collection is now up to pre-oder and the industry is going gaga over it. Given the situation he decided to put up only two seasonal collections this year, both, combining menswear and womenswear. The Resort 2021 was a sinfully romantic show put up by Simone Porte Jacquemus on a balmy thursday night with 55 models walking down the path laid amidst a splendid wheat field a little Northwest de Paris. Did Jacquemus just out do himself with regards to the location? I believe so! Known for not only his oversized straw hat and chiquito bag but also breaking the traditional runway venues by bringing the viewers out to a beautifully laid lavender field and conducting a show by the beach, designer Jacquemus has now nestled us within a seemingly never-ending wheat field.

The powder blue open skies above only made the vibe more enchanting. What else could we possibly ask for? In times of need, Jacquemus added a dramatic twist to social distancing by separating viewers notched into the fields alongside the runway.

In the menswear collection we see pieces with oversized blazers, slouchy trousers and bermuda shorts in cool, earthy colours staying true to the brand aesthetic. The womenswear pieces include romantic feminine slip dresses and deconstructed pencil skirts. Not to mention the teaseful slits. We see an enticing array of silhouettes with fabric cut out from (vastly) linen and satin. Ranging from distorted and twisted cropped shirt fronts to tailored blazers, are looks we shall now be on the lookout for.
